As a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) I evaluate workers who have violated a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol program regulation and make recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing and continuing care.

I offer the following services for clients working in safety-sensitive duty (FAA, FMCSA, FRA, FTA, PHMSA, AND USCG):

  • Conduct comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation to determine what level of assistance you need in resolving problems associated with prohibited drug use and/or alcohol use;
  • Recommend a course of education and/or treatment with which you must comply prior to returning to DOT safety-sensitive duty;
  • Serve as a referral source to assist your entry into an acceptable program, commonly education course;
  • Conduct a face-to-face follow-up evaluation with you to determine demonstrated of successful compliance with recommendations of the initial evaluation and that you made the appropriate clinical progress sufficient to return to duty;
  • Develop and direct a follow-up testing plan for employer to send you when returning to work following successful compliance; and
  • Provide you with recommendations for continuing care.

I strive to smoothly assist you all the way to being eligible for the Return-to-Duty drug screening. The process can take typically from 1 to 2 weeks for education along; longer for residential and intensive outpatient treatment; as well as for clients needing to be clean of cannabis products.

Additional Info for Potential Clients

Call anytime between 9am and 9pm daily. I meet with clients days, evenings, and Saturdays. In-person For a flat-rate, I provide the Return-to-Duty requirements. Assessment, Evaluation, Recommendations (referral to education and/or treatment), monitoring, reporting, and on-going inquiries by DOT employers.
